The last glimpses...

We decided to take a quick Sunday drive up the canyon as we sadly watched the last glimpses of summer fade. Being the Autumn lovers that we are, I can't say I was sad to see those beautiful colors welcome us into the mountains....however, this summer was all too short. And, as wonderful as autumn is, the snow is quick to follow around here. Thank goodness we all decided to ignore it all for an afternoon, play in the waterfall, and reap the last rays of our summer days! Although a little chilly, there was no way you were keeping these kiddos out of that water. Kade was in heaven....surrounded by as many rocks as you could possibly dream of (that he could throw in the water without Mom caring). Sydnie's fun came to an unfortunate close as she somersaulted (accidentally) backwards off of the back of a boulder to find herself face down in the water. However, she shook it off pretty quick. No harm done! You can't beat Bridal Veil! I guess, here was our official farewell to Summer! See you again next year!
