The passing of the binder...

So, tonight was my last official meeting as a member of the Stake YW Presidency. After four years of serving the youth, I was released last Sunday. We met with the new presidency to "pass on the binder" and let them know what they're really getting themselves into, I suppose! It is also my last official week working at the law firm. I have to admit...as I was taking down my kids' pictures from above my desk, and walking out of this meeting tonight, I felt as though I'm having a bit of an identity crisis. Who knew that all of this would be happening at the same time, and after being so intensely busy for the last few years that I would be left standing here thinking, "now what?" I can only relate it to life's other major paradigm shifts like...coming home from the mission, or finding yourself holding a brand new baby that you have no idea how to care for! In fact, I've been with the YW program longer than I've been a mother...how time flies! I suppose, I direct my question, (as always) upwards--knowing that the Lord is chuckling and saying, "just wait..." I know this isn't the end of my adventures, but I sure did enjoy the time spent with those young women, and will deeply miss those moments of chaos, laughs, and wonderful spiritual awakening! I spent the last few years gaining this amazing testimony of the identity of our youth as amazing, elect sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father.
"You are literally a daughter of the Almighty. There is no limit to your potential. If you will take control of your lives, the future is filled with opportunity and gladness. You cannot afford to waste your talents or your time. Great opportunities lie ahead of you!"
-President Gordon B. Hinckley
How grateful I am for my opportunity and all that was learned! I pray that, through the Spirit, I was able to make some kind of difference...and to my sweet family and dear friends...thanks for the support and the patience! I promise, it won't be forgotten! On to the next opportunity, right? ;)
