Chocolate Pudding Picasso

Well, my daughter entered the world of pre-school today! She has been so funny. As we've been discussing her going off to school throughout last week, she changed her mind about every day as to whether or not she really wanted to go. However, when the moment came today, she was so excited and wore her new backpack around the house for at least an hour before it was time to go. Fortunately (unfortunately?) we are just doing "Joy School" for her three year old year...so "school" was just at the neighbor's house next door today. However, after the haircut experience, probably better to go with the LESS traumatic option. (Even if it means I have to teach ;) ). As part of their activities today, she finger painted a picture using chocolate pudding. She came home and was very excited about her creation. We sat it carefully on the kitchen counter to let it dry. Later in the afternoon, she comes into my room where I was working on some things and she has something all over her face! I asked her what she had been eating, and she says, "Mmmmm, Mommy, my picture is bery yummy!" I, of course thought, "what?" and walked into the kitchen to find that she had climbed onto the counter and had been licking the dried pudding off of her picture! I'll now just have to explain that all finger paints aren't necessarily "bery yummy" or else it might be a long, toxic year of pre-school. She had such a great time, she wouldn't go to sleep without her backpack at the foot of her bed.

Due to my broken camera issues, I don't even have pictures of my baby starting school! So sad! Hopefully, we'll catch up on the second day of school with those. In the meantime, I thought I'd include a little pic of the first masterpiece from our chocolate "Pudding Picasso."(post-lick)
