This week, our little Happy Hickman club was joined by two more.
Don's brother, Jared, traveled up from Texas with his little girl, Katy, to spend a few days with his favorite people...us! :)It was so fun to spend time with them both--and great to get to know and love our little Katy a bit more. Her two year old obsession with shoes is beyond impressive and she has a pretty amazing knack for accessorizing, so I think I've
made a shopping buddy for life. Now, if they'd only decide to move back to Utah.....Our kids loved using Uncle Jared as a jungle gym, and it was great fun watching these sweet long distance cousins play! We spent some great times swimming in the pool, too! Add in some good ch
ats, homemade Reuben sandwiches, biscuits & gravy, and you've got yourself a true 'Hickman Haven.' (according to Hickman tradition) The only thing missing was a good game of "Pitch"--and maybe some BBQ. We miss you guys already...but next time, can Amanda please come play, too?

My kids also love their long-distance cousins. They seem to pick up right where they left off without skipping a beat. It's so fun! I'm glad you had such a great visit with family . . . can't beat that!

I wish I could have been there! It looks like you guys had a blast. Everytime we're driving or the phone rings Katilyn will say, "Don-Don" or "Licia" or "Sydnie". It's very sweet. I can tell she misses you guys too! Hopefully I'll be able to come out and play next time.
