Frosty!!!....finally...

Monday was officially declared a "snow day" here in Provo (at least at our house). It dumped, and it dumped inches of snow. I watched the kids stare at it out the window and knew that it was finally time for this Mom to get on her boots and get out in the snow and make that snowman! It was so hilarious to watch them both try and maneuver their way through those huge snow drifts in their big old boots and giant snow suits (thanks, Grandma Wendy). It amazed me how they were numb to the fact that it was pouring snow on top of them and blowing freezing wind in their faces...they were in snow heaven! They also couldn't stop sneaking mouthfuls of that powdery snow! Luckily, it was perfect snow for Frosty making! We started our first little snowball, and it quickly got bigger, and bigger until we had to call Dad in to finish off the job. Sydnie seemed to be amazed that we could actually make a snowball that big! Once we got all three snowballs constructed and in place, the kids started to dance around him...just like in the song! It really was so cute! We finished him off with all the details (minus the hat) and the kids stood in excited awe! Our Frosty was complete! Since then, they wake up in the morning and look out their windows to say "HI" to Frosty! Kade says goodbye to him every time we pull away in the car.

Frosty was well worth the frozen fingers and cheeks, because I have to admit, I really enjoyed it too! Hopefully, it gets the styrofoam peanut episodes out of the kids' system for a little while, too!
