Mommy's little helpers

Along with the holidays come the endless tasks in preparation for the big day. Decorating, wrapping, baking, etc. Sydnie has been soooo willing to be right by my side for all of the festivities this year. She decided she would decorate the tree herself, and that all of the red sparkly ornaments belonged together, in the same place. Perfect! Kade also wanted in on the fun. As I was in my room rushing to throw myself together and get out the door I hear this crinkling noise from the hallway and rush out to see he has unrolled the entire roll of wrapping paper all the way down the hall...and then he and Syd were dancing on it like a red carpet. (I wish I had been composed enough to have taken a picture). Sydnie's other favorite thing to do is to UNdecorate the dining room shelves and table and then REdecorate them according to her OWN sense of style. She calls it the "decorating game." Where she got that from...I'll never know. Gotta love holiday fun!

Your tree looks fantastic -- sounds like your kids are good helpers rather than demolishers (like mine). Aren't the holidays fun?

My kids must have learned that same game- it's a conspiracy against our perfect tree ideals. Love the red sparklies.
