In A Dinosaur Minute...

So I think our kids set the world's record for "fastest time racing through a Dinosaur Museum" this week. We'd never been to the museum at Thanksgiving Point, but every time we drive by they both get so excited about the giant dinosaur on the side of the building. I figured it would be a great "educational" family activity, so off we went. Don't get me wrong....they did stop for a minute, or half of a minute, at a time to gaze up at the giant skeletons. I think they were waiting for "Rexy" from "Night at the Museum" and were a little disappointed when the things didn't come to life and start chasing sticks! We stopped and really did try to explain things from time to time, and they responded with a respectful "ohhhhh" as they both pointed and ran to quickly survey the next exhibit. Childhood curiosity mixed with excitement mixed with limited attention spans definitely made for a quick run through the museum, but they did finally sit still to enjoy the 3D movie with the cool glasses...and the popcorn!
Family Fun Value=10
Educational Value=Debatable ;)

That is great. I always feel bad that we don't go there more, but once you pay the money for the kids to run through there at lighting speed it almost doesn't seem worth it. But then the smiles on their faces are priceless
