Welcome Home, Baby Chase!

Sunday, Mom and Baby Chase finally made it home from their adventures at the hospital. And, it is so good to be home! Yes, we finally did decide on a name....Chase Andrew Hickman. Poor guy, so cute with such indecisive parents. Sydnie and Kade are still trying to get used to the fact that our new little buddy actually has a name aside from "baby brother." It's been pretty confusing for them. I'm afraid Syd is still a little mad at us because we didn't name him "Jackson," which was her pick, of course.
Sydnie has already proven to be extremely helpful and is going to be the perfect big sister! We'll see how her tune changes when these two little boys get big enough to start doing some damage together....but for now, she is in love with little Chase.

Kade has become the little protector. Anytime the baby starts to cry, he runs to find Chase's little stuffed lion and stuffed puppy and runs them to his side to comfort him. It's pretty cute. However, the first thing he did when we sat the car seat down on the couch after walking in from the hospital was pull out his "monster hands" and get a devilish little grin on his face as he told us he wanted to tickle baby brother with his "pinchy fingers." Such a funny kid. I can't wait to see the two little buddies in action before long ;)
Mostly, I think the kids are just grateful to finally have the baby here and have our family all back together again at home.
It is so wonderful to be a family, yet find ourselves even more complete than before!

We love you, Baby Chase! Welcome Home!!!

Congratulations!! He is beautiful, just like the rest of the family.

**In my next life I want to be as photogenic as you. I don't look that good on a good day. I remember thinking the same thing in Brazil. The humidity there didn't help either, but you always looked fabulous. Ü
