"As fast as a racecar!" Kade turns 3!

Our sweet, sweet Kaders turns three this week! This little boy is as amazing as he is hilarious. As a mom, I just want to hug and kiss him all the time. The problem is that in order to do that....you have to catch up with him first! He loves to run. Paired with his obsession with Lightning McQueen, we thus find our buddy Kade who can run "as fast as a race car!" according to him. He has his famous Lightning McQueen shoes, which hardly ever leave his feet, to prove it! However, Mom and Dad got him some fancy new kicks for his birthday which he now calls his "race car shoes," so maybe (to Mom's delight) we will get to soon retire the good ol' Lightning McQueen shoes. (yeah!!!) We celebrated with an early party and "Lightning--The Cake." In true speedy style, we headed out to Trafalga with the whole fam to ride the race cars, of course! We also spent the night watching 4-D movies, playing mini-golf, eating Dippin' Dots, and winning lots of tickets courtesy of the arcade games. The kids had a ball...as did the adults! It was such a fun evening! Kade was adequately spoiled and got more Lightning McQueen race car treasures to add to his collection as well as a scooter, remote control car, backpack and PJs! He was one happy boy!

Kade's big blue eyes literally melt me. That smile is pure magic. He loves to be sneaky, yet has the most tender little feelings. He is already loving to learn and can count and do ABCs right along with Syd! His little brain can problem solve it's way through any toy crisis or toddler sized task. Kaders is always up for joking around. He is so ticklish and loves to tickle right back! We are constantly stopping to look at each other and laugh because of the funny, funny things Kade always has to share. He will suddenly quote random lines from movies or songs or just start singing or dancing. We love to hear him laugh! His little giggle is pure joy. Anything in Kade's life can be solved by a few simple laps around the house. He will eat two bites, and run a few laps, watch a few minutes of his favorite show and sprint for a few. His iron will and strength set him apart. It is so wonderful to see him grow, progress and continue to build that little spirit and strength of character that will take him so far one day.

Regardless of how fast he may be and how many circles we find ourselves running in as Kade embraces the freedom of being three...one thing is for sure...when he slows down, with a smile and a sigh, little Kade just loves to be loved.
Happy Birthday to our speedy, sweet little man! We love you so much!
