After long last, and much anxious waiting on Sydnie's behalf, today she started Kindergarten! She could barely manage to sleep last night she was so excited! She was so looking forward to making new friends and meeting her new teacher, Miss Knudsen.
We got up super early and made her favorite

breakfast (
this week, at least),
Pink Puffy Panca
kes. She picked out a new outfit that she wanted to wear, and she requested her hair be
"up and beautiful to meet my new friends." Wish granted...she was beautifu

l. As for Mom, she entered the morning with puffy eyes and a heart semi-broken at the thought of sharing her favorite little girl in the whole world with school. I have
so enjoyed having her all to myself these five years. Sydnie's bravery was a sparkling example, however, and I saved the tears
and the scene as we dropped her off. How can I be sad when she is so, so

happy to be there? As she walked off and waved with that sweet little smile on her face I kind of had to laugh to myself as I thought,
"Kindergarten, here she comes!!!"
My silent wish for
her today is simply that she fi

nds joy and happiness as she begins the journey of learning.
Today is the first

day of many to come. She is the most precious, sweet girl. Her wonder and love for all aro

und her leads her to crave knowledge and understanding. We are so grateful for her kind spirit, open heart and continue to find amazement in the beautiful stories she creates in her mind and actions. We are also so grateful that Syd chooses to be such an incredible example to her little brothers, both of whom she loves to death. AND, if all else fails, that smile will get us through any tough day Kindergarten has to offer. Her soul is breathtaking, beautiful and fills us with it's excitement and life.
Don't worry, sweet Syd, Kindergarten will love you! Share all you have to give, love each moment you have to learn and continue to grow in knowledge and beautiful character as you embrace it--every minute of it!
We love you and are so proud of you!

Way to go Sydnie! Hope it was a great day for everybody!
She is to beautiful. She will shine in Kindergarten. I can see her asking every day if they can celebrate some thing and if she can cater the event.
She looks adorable as always! She'll have so much fun in kindergarten and you'll be able to spend some quality time with "the boys".
