All in a Day's Work

Well, after weeks worth of destruction, three backhoes, new sprinkler lines, giant boulders, immense amounts of dirt and rocks...everywhere..., and 2/3 of our front yard now full of frozen sod--I have to declare our "little waterproofing project" FINISHED! FINALLY! What an ordeal! I know we'll be really grateful to have it all done, but 'whew' for now! It doesn't help that I have a ridiculous aversion to dirt in the first place. Either way, my kids thought they'd make good use of that big ol' backhoe that was parked smack in the middle of our front lawn. It was calling to them! I couldn't keep them away from it! Who needs parks and playground equipment? As Nana said, "It must run in the family...Papaw would be proud." I just hope I can now shake off the stupor that this craziness has left me in and get back to my blogging! :)
