We took a much needed family break from the yucky yard work on Monday and hit the pool with the kids! Both of them are really still trying to figure out how much they love the water. Syd is getting much better...she actually will jump into the water, blow bubbles and walk into water up to her chin. All of these things are were unthinkable last summer ;) It took Kade a good hour or so to decide that he actually liked playing in the water with Dad (thus, the distressed looks in the pictures). However, he ended up loving it. Ya, it may be time for some swimming lessons. Being that
Don floats and swims like a fish...and I sink like a rock...regardless of my desperate treading and flailing of my kicking legs...we're going to hope for the best genetic outcome possible for our kids...and get them some really good lessons, just in case ;) There are a lot of great things they can inherit from me, but swimming ability is sooooo not one of them! Poor kids!

Being in Vegas, we LIVE at the pool. Jayce is a fish, but I credit our own swimming pool for that. Most 3 year-olds aren't too keen on the whole experience, yet. I'll have to take the kids in Utah, too. Anyway, maybe I'll see you at the Freedom Fest, or the picnic? Should be fun!
